What to Look out for at the GTBank Fashion Weekend 2018

GTBank Fashion Weekend is an event that brings the most promising, talented fashion designers, brands and retail enterprises from across Nigeria and abroad to showcase the latest trends and products to a large and diverse audience of consumers, press and industry enthusiasts.

The first season of this event, which was held on the 12th and 13th of November 2016, created visibility and trade opportunities for indigenous businesses and also facilitated learning workshops and encouraged e-commerce as a sustainable avenue for driving growth. The 3rd edition of the GTBank Fashion Weekend is going to be held this November, 2018. Venue is at plot 1, Water corporation drive, oniru, VI, Lagos From 10am to 10pm daily. It will be packed with lots of amazing brands to shop From, beautiful pieces on the Runway, Master classes from Experts and opportunity to mingle big personalities in the industry.

As a host, creative/executive director Jay is recognized for the energy and dynamism he brings into the fashion media space.  Jay’s (@MrJayManuel ) roles in television include Host of The Style Networks’ makeover series, “Style Her Famous” and Creative Director/Judge on the CW Network reality series “America’s Next Top Model”. Taofeek would be at the #GTBankFashionWeekend to speak about understanding the industry while starting out.

He is a multi-award winning shoes designer. Nicholas( @nicholaskirkwood  ) has won numerous awards including the British Fashion Award: Best Accessory Designer of the year 3 times and in 2013, became the 1st accessories designer to ever be awarded the British Fashion Council / Vogue Designer Fashion Fund since its inception. In 2013 Nicholas Kirkwood announced his partnership with LVMH: the largest luxury goods conglomerate in the world.

Stavros Karelis is the Founder & Buying Director of MACHINE-A, a London-based independent concept store for men and women . And Anna Trevelyan is the Co-founder and Fashion Director of MACHINE-A. In 2009, Stravos (@stavroskarelis ) and Anna (@annatrevelyan ) opened MACHINE-A, with the of aim of showcasing emerging designers alongside established fashion brands. The store quickly became London’s coolest retail destination.
Stavros and Anna would be at the #GTBankFashionWeekend to give insight on The Concept of Fashion Curation.
